Many Lightworkers work extensively with the Law of Attraction. However, most have never heard of its complement, the Law of Action. This is a fundamental reason for the challenges many spiritual entrepreneurs face in terms of sustainable income. I’m sharing teachings that will enable you to make significant progress in opening the abundance of your sacred business.
The Universal Law of Action:
A 4-part Teaching Series to
Increase Abundance in Spiritual Business
This 4-part teaching series is going to both unlock the principles of the Law of Action AND bring a compassionate lens to the reasons many Lightworkers resist this important part of our work. We’ll be bringing a compassionate lens to four primary work wounds that inhibit thriving spiritual businesses:
- You Must Produce NOW
- You Must Make Money NOW
- Being Fear-Driven & Trauma-Driven
- The Exhausting Grind
Let’s jump in today with Work Wound #1 and Part 1 of the Law of Action!
Compassionate Lens for Work Wound #1: You Must Produce NOW
One of the most dissociating aspects of traditional business is the driver, “You Must Produce NOW!” If we feel into the root energy of this driver, it has elements of:
- “You aren’t good enough,”
- “You haven’t done a good enough job,” and
- “You need to jump immediately and produce NOW”
The unreasonableness of this driver causes work trauma and soul wounding. It causes the Lightworker to step out of the grounded peace of their being and focus exclusively on externally oriented production. This is dissociation. And it leads to system failure – in our bodies, our hearts and our work.
Healing this wound comes through facing its roots – not intellectually, but in a heartfelt and self-compassionate way. In some cases a soul retrieval is necessary, bringing the traumatized masculine self home and providing attuned healing for its recovery.
💡 How This Shows Up in Spiritual Entrepreneurs
For healers, intuitives, and consciousness-oriented business owners, this “produce NOW” wound manifests in a specific, painful way:
The Rut Dweller’s Dilemma: Perhaps you’ve been sitting on your gifts for years, undercharging or working for free, because stepping into full abundant expression feels like stepping into that traumatizing “produce or perish” machine. So you stay small, telling yourself you’re “not ready yet,” when really you’re protecting yourself from re-traumatization. This wound keeps your sacred gifts in the shadows, not because you lack courage, but because your nervous system is trying to keep you safe from a threat it experienced as real.
Healing this work wound opens the space within us to explore the Universal Law of Action, a fundamental key to abundant spiritual business.
Law of Action Part 1
Let’s explore the Law of Action as taught by Dr. Norma Milanovich and Dr. Shirley McCune in their book, The Light Shall Set You Free.
Milanovich and McCune begin by saying,
”Action inevitably involves some change in our behaviors. It requires discipline, and an effort to make changes in our lives. We develop clever ways to avoid taking action. We deal with the trivia, the things we know how to do, and avoid the level of effort required to deal with more difficult problems where the steps are not clear and the risk of failure is high. We are willing to settle for less than what we… are capable of achieving.”
Understanding Avoidance as Protection
Here’s the paradox that Milanovich and McCune are pointing to: The very wound that makes us avoid the “produce NOW” driver also makes us avoid the grounded, soul-aligned action that would actually serve us.
When we’ve been traumatized by unreasonable productivity demands, our system develops what the authors call “clever ways to avoid taking action.” But this isn’t laziness or lack of commitment—it’s traumatized protection that deserves compassion and healing.
The Trivia Trap
Notice how they describe us dealing with “the trivia, the things we know how to do.” For spiritual entrepreneurs, this can look like:
- Reorganizing your Canva templates for the tenth time
- Completing one more certification before you offer your work
- Attending another training instead of implementing what you already know
These activities feel productive—and they are real work—but they keep us in the safe zone.
When the Steps Aren’t Clear
The authors note we “avoid the level of effort required to deal with more difficult problems where the steps are not clear and the risk of failure is high.“
This is crucial for understanding why so many gifted practitioners struggle with business structure. Your intuitive gifts, your healing abilities, your capacity to hold space—these are clear to you. But:
- How do you price a soul retrieval?
- What’s the “right” way to structure a transformational program?
- How do provide a path for prospective clients to get to know your work?
The steps aren’t clear, and the risk of failure feels enormous Not just financial failure, but the deeper fear: What if I corrupt my sacred gifts by bringing them into commerce? What if I become one of those “salesy” people? What if I’m rejected?
Settling for Less
When Milanovich and McCune say we’re “willing to settle for less than what we are capable of achieving,” they’re describing the Rut Dweller’s compromise.
You settle for undercharging because “at least people can afford it,” inconsistent income because “money isn’t spiritual anyway,” and keeping your most powerful gifts private because “people wouldn’t understand.”
This isn’t settling because you lack ambition. You’re settling because your traumatized system believes that reaching for more means stepping back into that “produce NOW” machinery that nearly broke you.
The Bridge: From Wound to Wisdom
The Universal Law of Action isn’t about forcing yourself to produce. It’s about recognizing that healed, grounded action from your essential self is fundamentally different from dissociated, trauma-driven productivity.
When you’ve done the work to heal Work Wound #1—when you’ve retrieved that traumatized part and brought it home—you create space for a new relationship with action:
✨ Action that arises from your soul’s clarity, not from panic
✨ Discipline that feels like devotion, not like punishment
✨ Changes in behavior that honor your capacity, not override it
✨ Risk-taking that’s held in self-compassion, not driven by “prove yourself” energy
This is the foundation of Sacred Commerce: Your action becomes spiritual practice when it flows from an integrated, healed place within you.
🌿 Experience This — Not Just Understand It
You’ve just explored how the “produce NOW” wound drives you out of grounded presence and into dissociated, externally-driven action.
But here’s the thing: reading about healing is different from feeling it in your body.
What if you could experience — right now, in just a few minutes — what it actually feels like to move from that frantic, “prove yourself” energy into soul-aligned action that feels expansive, kind, and alive?
That’s exactly what this short guided visualization offers.
🎥 “The Missing Law That’s Keeping Spiritual Entrepreneurs Stuck (It’s Not the Law of Attraction)”
In this brief video, you’ll be gently guided into an embodied experience of what it feels like to:
- 🌀 Connect with your soul’s clarity — before taking action
- 🌀 Hold a business vision that is ambitious AND kind — one that honors your capacity rather than overriding it
- 🌀 Feel the difference between panic-driven productivity and grounded, devotional movement toward your goals
This isn’t a lecture. It’s a felt sense experience — the very foundation of healing Work Wound #1.
“Action that arises from your soul’s clarity, not from panic.” That’s what waits for you on the other side of this visualization.
✨ Press play. Close your eyes. Let your nervous system remember what safe, soul-led action feels like.
✨ Next in this series: We’ll explore Work Wound #2 and how the “make money NOW” pressure distorts our relationship with abundance and the Law of Action. Proceed to the next teaching now: From panic to spacious planning: Law of Action Part 2
